Apex Fiber understands the complexities that come with integrating innovative network technologies within current systems as well as how to plan, strategize and implement for new construction. Being a single source solutions provider, we know how to manage the project from start to completion and have the team in place to do it.

Splicing Operations:

Fusion splicing with new Sumitomo and/or Fujikura equipment will conjoin fiber at a minimum standard of 0.300dB event loss per
splice location. ITU-T G.653 fiber will achieve results at or below 0.150dB when spliced with modern core alignment equipment.
ITU-T G.657 (common in pre-connectorized inside plant terminations) will range from 0.150dB to 0.250dB per splice. In applications
where G.653 is spliced to G.657 (precconectorized ISP is spliced to a OSP field cable) a perceived loss of 0.450db to 0.600dB will
result until bi-directionally averaged.

Fiber Certification & Characterization:

Fiber characterization is used to determine a network’s capacity to handle applications. It provides a snapshot of the entire link,
including all interconnection points, splices and fiber sections. Fiber characterization confirms that a fiber is fit to carry traffic by
validating insertion loss, optical return loss, chromatic and polarization mode dispersions, and serves as a reference for subsequent
commissioning and troubleshooting

GIS / Database Management:

Internet of Everything requires always UP networks, minimize losses arising from costly Service Level Guarantees with accurate real
time mapping. Reduce mean time to restoration with GPS splice mapping to 6 decimals, and CO ranges to all splice points. When
utilized in conjunction with Watchtower, locate potential damage and dispatch crews from any mobile device, anytime of the day.
Given current levels of DWDM integration a single damaged strand can affect 40 400g circuits.
